The Center for Global Programs and Services (CGPS) brings together key enterprises to support the University's global initiative and campus internationalization efforts. As founders of the nation's first study abroad program, we inspire and facilitate the pursuit of global understanding by developing inclusive programs of study, opportunities for experiential learning and strategic partnerships. We welcome students and scholars from around the globe and foster their success through advising and cross-cultural engagement. Building upon Delaware’s history as a leader in international education, CGPS is proud to continue our legacy of innovation in the 21st century and beyond.

The iBuddy Mentoring Program is now accepting applications for mentors for the next class of international students!
iBuddy mentors are caring, helpful, service-oriented UD students who help new international students transition to life in the U.S. and at UD. Mentors can be domestic or international students. They answer questions from incoming international students virtually over the summer to help them prepare for their big move and they help plan and attend fun in-person events in the fall to welcome the new students to campus.
These empathetic students share the knowledge and experience they have to make it easier for those who are traveling from around the globe to become a UD Blue Hen. Questions they answer range from the practical like where to live, what to pack, and where to buy groceries, to the personal, like how hard the classes will be and the best ways to make friends.
New mentors are provided with training in the spring to help connect with their paired mentees in the summer and fall. An orientation will be held for new mentors on Saturday, April 8.
If you are going to be a student on campus in the fall and are interested in becoming an iBuddy Mentor, please submit a completed application by Monday April 7.
