UD World Scholar? In Year 2 of the Program, your focus will be on further developing your intercultural knowledge and competence, and preparing for your second experience abroad. While attendance at the iHouse Culture Night Series is not required, it will help you achieve these goals.

Greek Night

Thursday, November 12 at 7 p.m. ET


Learn about Greek culture by cooking a traditional dish and practicing the language. Then, explore opportunities to study abroad in Greece through the Institute for Global Studies.

1 medium English cucumber

1.5 cups of 2% Fage yogurt

2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

1 teaspoon white vinegar

2 medium cloves very finely chopped garlic

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

2-3 pieces pita bread or bag of pita chips


Cooking along with the group is optional, but sure to be delicious!

Spain Night

Thursday, November 19 at 7 p.m. ET


Members of UD’s global community will learn about the culture of Spain from UD graduate student Alba Campo Rosillo and UD World Scholars. Attendees will engage in activities about the language, art and gastronomic traditions of the country. 

Kiwi Culture Night

Tuesday, December 1 at 6 p.m. ET


Learn about the culture of New Zealand, participate in an activity led by the University of Auckland's Study Abroad Students Society and hear from students about their experiences studying abroad at UOA.
