Bio
With a bachelor's degree in Plant & Soil Science from the University of Kentucky and almost 20 years in the turfgrass industry, John recently decided to shift gears and make the jump to university extension. He has always relied on extension agents in his career and thoroughly enjoyed these interactions, even envying those on the other end of the stick. So, when presented with an opportunity to join UD Extension, he took the leap! John looks forward to sharing his experience and knowledge with the people of Delaware and helping in any capacity.
In his free time, John likes to travel, play golf, learn more about agronomy and study golf course architecture. He has been to 10 different countries and 31 states. His life bucket list is to visit every National Park (11 so far)! John is a nationally-ranked Olympic weightlifter and a three-time state champion in Kentucky.
