It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated Friday morning, May 27, in the University of Delaware’s Doctoral Hooding Convocation, a rite of passage for those who have attained academia’s highest degree. [ UDaily ]

Following the first snowfall of 2016, the University of Delaware was left digging out from 13+ inches of snow on the main campus in Newark, DE and nearly as much snow on its satellite campuses in Dover and Lewes. The blizzard forced the University to close on Monday, Jan. 25 to remove snow from walkways, steps, and parking lots.
