Guidelines for continuing education

If you are certified by the Delaware Nutrient Management Program you will need to attend programs that offer continuing education credits to maintain your certification. The number of continuing education credits that you need depends on your level of certification:

Certification Level Certification Length Credits Needed During a
Certification Period
Month Certification Expires
Nutrient Generator 3 years 6 May
Private Nutrient Handler 3 years 6 May
Commercial Nutrient Handler 3 years 6 May
Nutrient Consultant 1 year 5 December

You should know...

  1. Credits do not carry over from one certification period to the next.
  2. You can only receive credit for a course once during a certification period.
  3. Credits are available via traditional face-to-face programs or online.
