Beth G. Brand, AS95, P29
Beth Brand was appointed to serve as Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations in July 2025.
From April 2020 to June 2025, Beth served as Vice President and University Secretary, acting as a liaison between the president and the Board of Trustees and providing administrative support for the Board and its chair. As part of the president's senior administrative team, Beth oversaw presidential, University-wide events including Commencement and Convocations; coordination of presidential leadership advisory boards; and the University's Archives and Records Management operation.
From 2007 to 2020, Beth led the Development operation in its entirety holding the positions of Associate Vice President, Interim Vice President and Senior Associate Vice President for Development. During her tenure, the University more than quadrupled fundraising results from $26 million in fiscal year 2008 to $102.6 million in fiscal year 2019.
From 1996 to 2007, Beth spent 11 years at the University of Pennsylvania where she began her development career at Carey Law School as a prospect researcher and subsequently moved into a frontline role. In 2002, Beth joined Wharton External Affairs as Senior Associate Director of Major Gifts for the New York/New England Region. She spent four years in this role and was promoted to Director of Major Gifts.
Beth has a B.A. in French and International Relations and a minor in History from the University of Delaware.
Beth serves as Secretary of the Board for Delaware Prosperity Partnership and is a Member of the Board of Governors for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.
