Take Your Concept to the Next Level

All UD students who are actively pursuing the launch and growth of a business are eligible to apply to become participants in VentureOn. Participants receive 24-hour access to the VDC, business advisory and other services as well as in-kind support. They also receive scheduling priority and invitations to special events as well as automatic enrollment into the flexible benefits program for copying & printing, media production, promotional, and supply needs. 

Semester Schedule

 

VentureOn meets in the Venture Development Center on Wednesday nights from 7 - 8 p.m. The first VentureOn session will be the second Wednesday of each fall and spring semester. All are welcome any Wednesday night thereafter regardless of acceptance into VentureOn.

VentureOn Programming

VentureOn Advisor Hours

 Every Friday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m., VentureOn teams meet experienced business advisors. At least two volunteers host four 30-minute advising sessions each.

VentureOn Alumni Advising

On Wednesdays, VentureOn alumni teach and advise current teams. They bring a student perspective and proven methods, showing how to use Horn resources effectively.

    Alec Boyd is a fall 2025 entrepreneurship grad with a minor in professional selling and sales management and a familiar face in the Venture Development Center. When he tried to transfer a few community college courses back to the University of Delaware to save time and tuition, he hit a wall of PDFs, emails, and outdated processes. Alec leveraged his coursework plus VentureOn, Pitch Party, and Hen Hatch to turn a personal frustration into a tool that can save students real time and real money: Equivly.
