December 2019 Club Spotlight:
Westville 4-H Club

Westville 4-H Club is a traditional Club that has been around since 1929. We have cloverbuds that range in age from 5 years old to 7 years old and traditional members from 8 years old to 19 years old. Westville meets the first Monday of the month. We start at 6:00 pm with a craft then go into our club meeting at 6:30 pm.

Westville members are involved in many project areas such as Public Speaking, Favorite Foods, Woodworking, Livestock judging, Photography, Archery and the Market Animal projects. Throughout the year we participate in the Window Display, Litter Barrel, and the Trim-A-Tree contest. At Christmas time we enter a float in the Harrington Christmas parade and also participate in the Salvation Army Bell Ringing. We collect school supplies to donate to a school, pet food and supplies to donate to the SPCA and canned food for the food bank and the DART stuff the bus campaign.

At Fair time you can find many members in the Delaware Farm Bureau Food Booth, the 4-H building, the animal barns taking care of project animals and riding the 4-H float in the nightly parade. Our members are very active not only in the club but also the community. The club does a road clean-up once a year and participates in the coastal clean-up to help clean Delaware beaches.
