The Career Services Center offers a variety of career fairs and meetups throughout the academic year. We offer boutique events based on our industry focused communities to bring talented Blue Hens and employers together. Most events are open to all matriculated UD students and alumni. What can you do with an education in health behavior science or nutrition? There are many careers in the industry and this event is intended to help you discover the right pathway for you! Speak to employers and alumni about their careers, the various career pathways in the behavioral health and nutrition industries and also about potential internship experiences!

To prepare, be sure to review the list of attending employers, bring plenty of copies of your resume, and be ready with a list of questions to ask!

The Wealth Management Networking Night is open to employers interested in hiring students working in a financial planning or wealth management role within your organization.

We ask that you limit your giveaways and handouts in order to maximize the networking.

WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

Women's Leadership summit

The Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) at the Lerner College (the preeminent driver of learning to empower transformational women leaders and advance gender equity in the workplace) will be hosting a networking fair and luncheon for students, faculty, staff and employers.

The cost of registration will cover: 3-4 representatives for lunch, a high-top table at the networking fair and luncheon, and networking with 200+ undergraduate and graduate students. The registration fee for Law Schools & Nonprofit organizations is $260.00 each. The registration fee for For Profit Organizations is $450.00.

 FALL FASHION CAREER MEETUP

Fall Fashion career Meetup

The Fashion Career Meetup allows you to network with top students seeking job and internship opportunities!

The program will start off with an employer panel. We encourage our panelists to be prepared on topics such as: career advice, company culture, and your journey to your current role.

Following the panel, you will have an opportunity to interact with the students. Employers will be provided one high top table with their company name. We ask that you limit your giveaways and handouts in order to maximize the networking - bring plenty of business cards!

Reminder - there are approximately 250+ students in attendance, please make sure to bring a sufficient number of representatives to speak with all interested students. We also encourage you to speak with students in small groups versus one on one. This will ensure you have the opportunity to see as many students as possible in the allotted time!

Education Meetup

Education meetup

An evening to meet and network informally with undergraduate and graduate students - - both those who are just beginning to explore the possibilities of a career in education, as well as students who will graduate soon and hope to learn about current or anticipated vacancies.  Help support the profession - - encourage undecided students to consider education majors, choose careers in K-12 education, and pursue job opportunities in this industry! Employers are welcome to bring UD alumni working in your schools/districts to talk with students about their experiences.  

Come meet UD students to help them learn more about the profession and your school/district! Dress code is business casual.

SPEED NETWORKING FOR FIRST YEAR BUSINESS STUDENTS
NOVEMBER 14 & 15, 2018 ~ 5:00 pM - 7:00 PM

The Lerner College of Business is looking for employers to connect with every first year student in business for a Speed Networking event. Each employer will be responsible for giving tips and guidance about a professional development topic (i.e. interviewing, networking, how to dress for an interview, etc.) at their table. There will be approximately 50 tables and each table will hold 7 students. Those students will rotate every 10 minutes over the course of 2 hours to learn about different professional development topics and connect with employers.

There will be approximately 300-400 first year Lerner students on each date. You can sign up for 1 or both days.

Each employer can have a maximum of 2 representatives onsite. Drinks and lite snacks will be provided. PLEASE DO NOT bring banners, flyers or any other materials. A list of students and employer reps will be emailed out after the event.

Once you register, Jill Gugino Pante, Director of Lerner Career Services, will follow up with employers to assign a professional development topic and provide additional details of the day.

Speed Networking for First Year Business students is an opportunity to network and enhance your professional development skills from employers and alumni. Employer & alumni representatives will be rotated at each table every 8-10 minutes and include topics like interviewing, networking, how to dress, how to perfect the handshake, how to write thank you letters and following up.

Dress is casual. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Do not bring copies of your resume. All students will be given a list of employer and alumni representatives after the program to assist with follow up.

The Nursing Career Fair is designed for employers to interact with nursing students & alumni, and to help identify UD talent for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities.

The 2018 Nursing Career Fair will take place at University of Delaware's Newark Campus:

Trabant Student Center - Multi-Purpose Rooms:

Daily Schedule:

Check-in: 3:30pm - 4:45pm
Career Fair: 5:00pm - 7:00pm

 

Registration is $150.00 per organization and includes 2 company representatives. Bring additional representatives for only $20 each.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Cancellation Prior to November 5th, 2018 at 5:00pm – 100% Refund or no expectation of payment

Cancellation between November 5, 2018 after 5:00pm – November 16th, 2018 at 5:00pm – 75% Refund or expectation of 25% payment

Cancellation after November 16th, 2018 at 12:00pm – No refund will be issued and full payment is due

Cancellations must be received in writing to Jenni Kaper at jkaper@udel.edu. Should cancellation not be submitted in the above terms; no refund or excuse from payment will be issued.

 

 

Parking Map & Information - parking is available at Trabant Student Center Garage. Bring your parking ticket to the fair with you. The cost of parking is included in your registration fee.

Shipping Materials  - details are below on where to send display materials for the upcoming fair. Display items must be received by November 21, 2018. Please keep in mind that UD is closed on 11/22 & 11/23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

"HOLD FOR THE NURSING FAIR- 11/27"

Return shipping - All displays & materials must have a pre-paid return shipping label and a proper container. The pick-up location will be at the check-in desk and pick-up time is up until 5:00pm.  Major carriers such as: DHL, FedEx, and UPS are familiar with Trabant University Center. You must bring a pre-paid return shipping label so that your items can be shipped out following the fair.

Organization representatives are responsible for scheduling pick-up of all displays and materials after the event. Career Services and/or the Trabant University Center are not responsible for ensuring that your materials are shipped after the fair.

 

Special hotel rates are available for this fair at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at University of Delaware and Embassy Suites (both based on availability). Mention the "UD related rate" when making reservations by phone to the local facility.

This event is open to all UD Nursing students & alumni who are seeking clinical positions.

The suggested dress code is business professional.

Make sure to have multiple copies of a solid resume.

 

Please note: Photographs and/or video will be taken during the Nursing Career Fair.

By taking part in this event you grant the event organizers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform a Career Services Center staff member.
