The Career Center offers a variety of career fairs and meetups throughout the academic year. We offer boutique events based on our industry focused communities to bring talented Blue Hens and employers together. Most events are open to all matriculated UD students and alumni. DECEMBER 3, 2019 • 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The Nursing Career Fair is designed for employers to interact with nursing students from all class years and alumni about full-time, residency, externship and volunteer opportunities.

Please note: Photographs and/or video will be taken during this Career Center Event.

"HOLD FOR THE NURSING FAIR- 12/3"

Return shipping - All displays & materials must have a pre-paid return shipping label and a proper container. The pick-up location will be at the check-in desk and pick-up time is up until 5:00pm.  Major carriers such as: DHL, FedEx, and UPS are familiar with Trabant University Center. You must bring a pre-paid return shipping label so that your items can be shipped out following the fair.

Spring Career & Internship Fairs

Spring Career & Internship Fairs

FEBRUARY 20, 2020 • 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Two fairs - one day!

The Engineering, Science & Technology Fair and the All Majors Fair will connect employers with more than 1,750 University of Delaware undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni to discuss full-time, part-time and internship opportunities from a wide variety of fields.

We ask you to choose one fair location - but don't worry! You will be able to advertise by major, career community and with the available opportunities listed within Handshake to reach all attending students! The fairs are only separated by a small hallway which will allow students to easily access both fairs.


Schedule:

  • 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Seniors & Grad Student Only Power Half-Hour – Get early access to students seeking full-time positions!  
  • 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Engineering & Technology Fair & All Majors Fair for all students and alumni


Note: Students are encouraged to dress for the job they want - no professional attire required - to increase attendance between classes and include students who may not have yet purchased a suit.

Registration fees based on organization type are as follows:

■ $675 - Third Party & Staffing Organizations (whether hiring internally or externally)
■ $525 - For Profit Organizations
■ $425 - Government Entities
■ $325 - Nonprofit

Additional representatives are $40.00 each.

If you have more than three total representatives at one table, it requires the purchase of an additional table for your organization.
($400.00 - For-Profit Organizations, $300.00 for Government Entities, $200.00 for Non-Profit)

Parking Map & Information - PLEASE DO NOT drive directly to The Little Bob - Parking IS NOT available on site! A parking location will be provided closer to the event date. Please allow extra travel time to include shuttle transportation between the venues. You do not need a parking pass to park. You are welcome to drop off your packages at The Little Bob before parking your vehicle.

Shuttles will run continuously and will be available approximately every 10 minutes.

IF YOU PLAN TO SHIP your materials they need to arrive NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, 2/18/20. The Summer Externship Networking Night is open to employers interested in networking with undergraduate students with an expected graduation date between December 2021 - May 2023 for their summer externship/leadership programs.

Students will have the opportunity to go around to different tables in the Lerner Atrium and interact with employers to learn about summer externship opportunities and how to apply. This networking night is targeting students interested in the professional services industry (accounting, finance and IT).

A free networking event connecting employers and alumni in advertising, public relations, media and branding with students in communications, design, marketing, English and other majors who are seeking career advice, internships, freelance gigs and full-time jobs.

Sponsored By: UD Chapter of PRSSA, Blue Hen Marketing Club, the UD Career Center and Lerner Career Services Center, and the Departments of Marketing, English and Communication.

- Free to attend. Organizations are encouraged to send UD alumni if they are available to attend.

The UD Physical Therapy program produces high quality individuals that have been trained to translate a strong platform in interdisciplinary science into health practices, therapies and interventions that result in immediate improvements in people's lives. Many of these skilled students have received awards and scholarships in recognition of their accomplishments.

Experiential Learning for the Health Professions

This event is intended to inform students interested in healthcare about ways to gain exposure to the various professions. Many pre-health students need volunteer, shadowing and direct care hours in order to apply to programs. Your advice and experience can help!

Employers are encouraged to bring UD alumni that are currently working in your organization.

Delaware PK-12 Recruitment Fair

APRIL 20, 2020 • 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Come meet students from UD and surrounding colleges and universities!

Sponsored by the UD Career Center, the Delaware PK-12 Recruitment Fair offers the opportunity for Delaware PK-12 employers to connect with candidates interested in Fall 2020 opportunities, as well as underclassmen who are considering careers in this field. Plan to attend to meet prospective teachers, counselors, administrators and specialists who hope to work in the First State!

Event is open to representatives from Delaware schools/school districts only.

The 2020 Delaware PK-12 Recruitment Fair will take place at University of Delaware's Newark Campus: 

Trabant Student Center - Multi-Purpose Rooms

Newark, Delaware 19716 

Schedule:
8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. Check-in, set up and refreshments
9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Students/candidates meet and converse with representatives


Registration: $100 per table (for one to three representatives)

(Due to limited space, each school district/organization is limited to one table.)

Fee includes: table, parking (three hours maximum), morning refreshments

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Cancellation prior to March 27, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. – 100% refund or no expectation of payment

Cancellation between March 27, 2020 after 5:00 p.m. – April 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. – 75% refund or expectation of 25% payment

Cancellation after April 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. – No refund will be issued and full payment is due

Cancellations must be received in writing to Amy Rees at amyrees@udel.edu. Should cancellation not be submitted in the above terms, no refund or excuse from payment will be issued.

This event is open to ALL undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, who are pursuing or considering careers in PK-12 education in the First State! Come meet representatives from Delaware public and charter schools to learn about anticipated vacancies for Fall 2020, or to simply explore education as a possible career field. Representatives will be able to discuss PK-12 positions such as teachers, counselors, para-educators, administrators, specialists and more!

Suggested dress code is business casual to business professional. It is highly recommended that you bring copies of your resume to share with the recruiters. This event is free to attend.

Social Impact & Community Service Career Meetup

APRIL 23, 2020 • 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

University of Delaware students are eager to make a positive impact! If you are in the non-profit and community service sectors or a non-governmental organization, this event is for you!

The Social Impact & Community Service Career Meetup will provide the opportunity for you to connect with UD students and share information on internships, fellowships, research, and job opportunities with your organization. Employers are encouraged to bring UD alumni that are currently working in your organization. The suggested dress code is business casual.

Details:

  • Free to attend. Organizations are encouraged to send UD alumni.
  • Each organization will receive a high top table for one to two representatives and a table sign
  • Light refreshments will be served

Please note - Event participation is free to UD alumni and employers. However, due to resources reserved for your participation, we kindly ask that any event cancellation is alerted as soon as possible. Please send all cancellations in writing to Amy Rees at amyrees@udel.edu.  

Should you register and fail to cancel your registration within 48 business hours and/or do not show the night of the event, you will be invoiced $100.00 to cover the resources allotted to your organization.
