We offer boutique events based on our industry focused communities to bring talented Blue Hens and employers together. Most events are open to all matriculated UD students and alumni. Two fairs, two days - endless talent!

The UD Spring Career & Internship Fairs will bring students and alumni together in a virtual setting over two days. Regional and national employers attend to connect with top UD undergraduate and graduate students and alumni. 

  • All Career Communities Fair - Wednesday, February 16, 2022
  • Engineering, Science & Technology Fair - Thursday, February 17, 2022

Both fairs will be hosted virtually on the Handshake platform. Employers will create a virtual schedule of 10-minute 1:1 sessions and/or 30-minute groups sessions for students to sign-up and speak with them.

The UD Spring Career & Internship Fairs will be held virtually on the Handshake platform.  Employers will interact with students through a virtual fair schedule of 10-minute 1:1 sessions and/or 30-minute group sessions. Instructional videos on schedule creation and support will be provided. 

  • All Career Communities Fair: Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST
  • Engineering, Science & Technology Fair: Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST

Registration fees are based on organization type as follows:

  •     $400 - Staffing Agencies & Third Party Organizations
  •     $350 - For Profit Organizations
  •     $300 - Government Entities
  •     $250 - Non-Profit Organizations

The pricing listed above is for one fair day only (2/16/22 or 2/17/22). If you register for both fairs by 1/3/22, you will receive a $100.00 discount off your total registration cost.

  • Cancellation prior to 1/26/22 at 5:00 p.m. - 100% refund or no expectation of payment.
  • Cancellation between 1/26/22 at 5:00 p.m. - 2/2/22 at 5:00 p.m. - 75% refund or expectation of 25% payment.
  • Cancellation after 2/2/22 at 5:00 p.m. without schedule created - 50% refund or expectation of 50% payment.

Employers are at a disadvantage when they fail to create a schedule by 2/2/22 when student registration opens. Late schedule creation results in less overall student sign ups for the organization. Employers who do not have a schedule created by 2/9/22 at 5:00 p.m. will have their registration declined with the expectation of 50% payment and will not participate in the event.

Hospitality Business Management Career Fair

Tuesday, February 22, 2022 | 2:30-5 p.m.

The University of Delaware’s Hospitality Business Management Career Fair is open to employers interested in networking with undergraduate students for summer internships and career placement after graduation.

This Career Fair will be attended by students in the Department of Hospitality and Sport Business Management. Meet students in our three majors: Hospitality Business Management (HOSP), Hospitality Industry Management (HSIM) and Sport Management (SPTM), as well as our minors: Beverage Management, and Event Management. In addition, it is open to all students in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.

Monday, April 4, 2022 | 4-5:30 p.m.

Take this opportunity to network with undergraduate and graduate students! Reach those who are just beginning to explore the possibilities of a career in education, as well as graduating students and alumni hoping to learn about current or anticipated vacancies.

Help support the profession by encouraging undecided students to consider education majors, choose careers in PK-12 education and pursue job opportunities in this industry. Employers are welcome to include UD alumni working in your schools or districts to talk with students about their experiences. 

Top attending majors will include: elementary teacher education, early childhood education and secondary teacher education.

The UD Physical Therapy program produces high quality individuals that have been trained to translate a strong platform in interdisciplinary science into health practices, therapies and interventions that result in immediate improvements in people’s lives. Many of these skilled students have received awards and scholarships in recognition of their accomplishments.

Schedule:

  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. -  Employer check-in & Boxed Lunches will be available
  • 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Open networking with 2nd Year DPT students over professional\career readiness topics
  • 1 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Career fair with 2nd Year DPT students and UD PT Alumni
  • 2 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Career fair with 1st Year DPT students and UD PT Alumni

Important Information:

  1. All event participants are required to complete the University of Delaware health screening before coming to campus on the day of the event. Participants must wear a mask or face covering while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
  2. For all external visitors (non-UD students, staff or faculty) ages 12 and older attending events, the University requires that attendees provide proof (paper copy or photo on phone) of full COVID-19 vaccination or negative PCR coronavirus test taken within 72 hours of the event. This information will be checked at the door on the day of the event.
  3. Access to the event will be denied if you fail to comply with the UD health and safety polices. For more information, please visit www.udel.edu/coronavirus.
  4. Registration includes one high-top table. As this is a networking event, we suggest no more than two representatives per table. Conversations and meaningful connections are key - we ask that you limit your giveaways and handouts in order to maximize the networking. Bring plenty of business cards! There will not be access to electricity.

Please note - this event is only open to current UD DPT students and UD DPT alumni.

 

This event is currently being planned as an in-person event on the University of Delaware's Newark campus. The event taking place in-person is dependent on the University's guidelines for spring and the location my change to a virtual fair if deemed necessary.
