The Career Center offers a variety of career fairs and meetups throughout the academic year. We offer boutique events based on our industry focused communities to bring talented Blue Hens and employers together. Most events are open to all matriculated UD students and alumni. The Civil, Environmental & Construction Engineering Career Fair will allow you to virtually connect with UD students interested in careers, internships and co-op opportunities in industry. Employers are encouraged to have UD alumni participate who are currently working in their organization.

Careers in Wellness, Behavioral & Mental Health Meetup

October 8, 2020 • 3–5:30 p.m. 

This virtual event is intended to inform health behavior science, nutrition, mental health and human services majors about the types of careers and industries that can be pursued with their education. You will be able to network with students regarding your career path, organization and also to share internship and job openings. Employers are encouraged to have UD alumni participate who are currently working in your organization.

Participation in this event is complimentary for organizations. If you are no longer able to participate, please let us know as soon as possible and no later than 10/1/20.

Should you register and fail to cancel your registration within 48 business hours and\or no-show the day of the event, you will be invoiced $100.00 to cover the resources allotted to your organization.

Wealth Management Networking Night

The Wealth Management Networking Night is open to employers interested in hiring students working in a financial planning or wealth management role within your organization. Delaware graduate & law School fair

October 15, 2020 • 1–5 p.m. 

Looking to recruit future scholars from the state of Delaware and its higher education institutions?

The Delaware Graduate and Law School Fair is your chance to virtually interact with students from University of Delaware and other regional schools to answers questions about application processes, find out what they are looking for in academic programs, and give them the information they need to make decisions.

Please note: We will not specifically advertise to students pursuing advanced degrees in Healthcare (Pre-med, pre-vet etc.) for this event. The student organization, Making Doctors, hosts a Health Professions Fair each Spring. If you would like more information on getting involved and registration, please reach out to makingdoctors@gmail.com.

Register before August 14th to qualify for the early registration discount!

The registration fee for each Law & Graduate School before August 14th is $75. After August 14th the registration fee is $100.

The registration fee for any for-profit organization before August 14th is $200. After August 14th the registration fee is $250.

The discount will be applied after the registration is submitted.

Graduate and Laws schools both regionally and nation-wide will be looking to speak with prospective students, provide answers to key questions, and give insight to what you can expect in enrolling. 

Want to prepare for the fair? Join us for a Tips for Virtual Education Fairs session from 3:00-3:45pm on 10/7, followed by a virtual Mock Law School Admission Panel from 4:00 - 5:00pm to get you ready for admissions conversations.

Speed Networking for First Year Business Students

October 21 and October 22, 2020 • 5–7 p.m. 

The Lerner College of Business is looking for employers to connect with EVERY first year student in business for a Speed Networking event. Each professional development topic (i.e. interviewing, networking, how to dress for an interview, LinkedIn, etc.) will be led by Jill Gugino Pante (Director of Lerner Career Services) in a large virtual group setting. After each topic, there will be 10-15 minutes of virtual breakout discussion led by the employer representative. There will be approximately 300-400 first year Lerner students on each date.

You can sign up for one day or both days. The cost of the event is $250.00 per employer, per day. Should you attend both days the price is $450.00. Each employer can have a maximum of 4 representatives for their registered day.

A list of students and employer reps will be emailed out after the event. Once you register, Jill Gugino Pante, Director of Lerner Career Services, will follow up with employers to provide additional details of the day.

October 27, 2020 • 3–7 p.m. 

An opportunity to network virtually with undergraduate and graduate students/candidates. Reach both those who are just beginning to explore the possibilities of a career in education, as well as graduating students (and perhaps alumni, too) hoping to learn about current or anticipated vacancies. Help support the profession! Encourage undecided students to consider education majors, choose careers in PK-12 education and pursue job opportunities in this industry! 

Employers are welcome to include UD alumni working in your schools or districts to talk with students about their experiences. 

Top majors attending will include: Elementary Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education, and Secondary Teacher Education Majors.
