The Career Center offers a variety of career fairs and meetups throughout the academic year. We offer boutique events based on our industry focused communities to bring talented Blue Hens and employers together. Most events are open to all matriculated UD students and alumni. Careers in Wellness, Behavioral & Mental Health Meetup

September 30, 2021 | 4-5:30 p.m.

This virtual event is intended to inform health behavior science, nutrition, mental health and human services majors about the types of careers and industries that can be pursued with their education. You will be able to network with students regarding your career path, organization and also to share internship and job openings.

Employers are encouraged to have UD alumni participate who are currently working in your organization.

We look forward to you connecting with our students!


Due to space and capacity restrictions brought on by COVID-19, the UD Career Center is hosting all major career fairs and meetups virtually this fall. This only pertains to the UD Career Center calendar and does not reflect any University decision about returning to campus.

Participation in this event is complimentary for organizations. If you are no longer able to participate, please let us know as soon as possible and no later than 9/16/21.

Should you register, create a schedule and no-show to the event, you will be invoiced $100.00 to cover the resources allotted to your organization.

Please place your cancellation in writing to Amy Rees - amyrees@udel.edu.

*Employers are at a disadvantage when they fail to create a schedule by 9/16/21 when student registration opens. Late schedule creation results in less overall student sign ups for the organization. Employers who do not have a schedule created by 9/23/21 at 5:00 P.M. may have their registration declined and will not participate in the event.

Learn about careers in wellness, behavioral & mental health during this virtual event! There are many opportunities in the industry and this event is intended to help you discover the right pathway for you. Speak to employers and alumni about their careers, the various career pathways in behavioral & mental health, nutrition, human services industries and also about potential internship experiences.

Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering Career Meetup

October 7, 2021 | 4-5:30 p.m.

The Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering Career Meetup will allow you to connect with UD students interested in careers, internships and co-op opportunities in the biotechnology and biomedical industries.

Employers are encouraged to bring UD alumni that are currently working in their organization. 

Top Majors & Graduate Programs Participating Include: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Medical and Molecular Sciences.

Graduate School Fair

Graduate School Fair

October 12, 2021 | 3-5:30 p.m.

Looking to recruit future scholars from the University of Delaware?

The Graduate School Fair is your chance to virtually interact with students from University of Delaware to answers questions about application processes, find out what they are looking for in academic programs, and give them the information they need to make decisions.

Please note: We will not specifically advertise to students pursuing advanced degrees in Healthcare (Pre-med, pre-vet etc.) for this event. The student organization, Making Doctors, hosts a Health Professions Fair each Spring. If you would like more information on getting involved and registration, please reach out to makingdoctors@gmail.com.

The registration fee for each Graduate School is $75.

The registration fee for any for-profit organization is $150.

If you are considering Graduate School, trying to decide between programs, or thinking about if furthering your education is right for you, speaking with institution representatives is essential. Join us virtually to learn about the admissions process, the programs each college or university has to offer, and whether further education will help meet your goals from experienced admissions representatives. Obtain key takeaways admissions representatives will be looking for on your application. Graduate schools both regionally and nation-wide will be looking to speak with prospective students, provide answers to key questions, and give insight to what you can expect in enrolling.

Wealth Management Networking Night

Wealth Management Networking Night

October 13, 2021 | 5-6:30 p.m.

The Wealth Management Networking Night is open to employers interested in hiring students working in a financial planning or wealth management role within your organization. Students will have the opportunity to interact with the employers virtually and learn about financial planning and wealth management career and internship paths and applying for jobs.

Employer registration closes on August 22, 2021.

This event is currently being planned as an in-person event on the University of Delaware's Newark campus. A location has yet to be determined.  If you register now, you will be notified via email when the space has been finalized. The event taking place in-person is dependent on the University's guidelines for fall and the location my change to a virtual fair if deemed necessary. 

The registration fee is $200.00 per organization

Attend the Fashion Career Meetup and network with students seeking job and internship opportunities!

The program will start off from 4:00p.m. - 5:00 p.m. with a Zoom panel of employers introducing themselves and discussing their journey to their current roles, company culture, career advice and types of careers and internship openings in their organization.

Speed Networking for First Year Business Students

Speed Networking for First Year Business Students

October 20 & 21, 2021 | 5-7 p.m.

The Lerner College of Business is looking for employers to connect with EVERY first year student in business for a Speed Networking event. Each professional development topic (i.e. interviewing, networking, how to dress for an interview, LinkedIn, etc.) will be led by Jill Gugino Pante, Director of Lerner Career Services, in a large virtual group setting. After each topic, there will be 10-15 minutes of virtual breakout discussion led by the employer representative. There will be approximately 300-400 first year Lerner students on each date.

Nursing & Healthcare Career Fair

November 9, 2021 | 5-6:30 p.m.

This virtual career fair is open to all healthcare organizations seeking interns or full-time employers in the healthcare industry. Students attending will range from Nursing and medical laboratory science to a range of allied health professions. Please see below for a complete list of programs from which students will be invited.

 

Top Attending Majors:

Undergraduate: Nursing and pre-health (biology, chemistry, exercise science, medical lab sciences, med diagnostics)

Graduate Programs: Nursing (MSN, DPN, PhD)
