We offer boutique events based on our industry focused communities to bring talented Blue Hens and employers together. Most events are open to all matriculated UD students and alumni. Meet the Firms is designed to help employers interact with undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and degrees pursuing full-time positions and internships in financial services, analytics, accounting and information systems.

About the Event

Come connect with the talented UD community! Speak with our undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni to fill available job and internship positions, build professional networks and create meaningful connections.

This in-person event fills two rooms, which are split by opportunity type (Broad Industry and Engineering, Science & Technology). We will ask you to choose the room most relevant to you - but don't worry, you will be able to advertise by major, industry area and with the available opportunities listed within Handshake to reach all attending students! The fair is only separated by a small hallway which will allow students to easily access both spaces!

Hospitality Business Management Speed Networking

Tuesday, October 3, 2023 | 2:30–5:00 p.m.

About the Event

 

We invite you to join the Hospitality Business Management Department as we host Speed Networking! 

Agenda:

2:30pm - 3:45 pm - first-year and sophomore students will rotate from table to table spending about 5 minutes with companies. The remainder of the time, students will be able to speak with companies they did not get a chance to visit. 

4:00pm - 5:00pm - juniors and seniors will come through and meet with employers in a more informal setting

 Registration is for both events. Attendance is required at the  2:30pm section to have access to the 4:00pm section.

Speed Networking for First-Year Business Students

Speed Networking for First-Year Business Students

Tuesday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 18, 2023 | 5–6:30 p.m.

About the Event

The Lerner College of Business is looking for employers to connect with EVERY first-year student in business for a virtual speed networking event.

Each professional development topic (i.e. interviewing, networking, how to dress for an interview, LinkedIn, etc.) will be led by Director of Lerner Career Services Jill Gugino Pante in a large group setting. After each topic, there will be five to 10 minutes of virtual breakout discussion led by the employer representative. There will be approximately 300 to 400 first-year Lerner students on each date.

You can sign up for one or both days. The cost of the event is $300 per employer per day. Should you attend both days, the price is $500. Each employer can have a maximum of four representatives for their registered day. A list of students and employer representatives will be emailed out after the event.

Once you register, Jill Gugino Pante will follow up with employers to provide additional details of the day.

  • Cancellation between 10/20/23 at 5 p.m. – 10/27/23 at 5 p.m. — 75% refund or expectation of 25% payment. 
  • Cancellation after 10/27/23 at 5 p.m.  — no refund will be issued and full payment is due.


The UD Career Center may cancel any one or more employer registrations for any reason. In doing so it may elect to consider only its own interests and will not be required to consider the effect of any such cancellation. Should cancellation be initiated by the Career Center a full refund of the registration fee will be provided.
