For Employers

Follow these steps to set up your recruiter profile and start connecting with university students:

1. Visit Sign-Up: Go to the Handshake Employer Sign-Up page and select “Sign Up” in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Enter Email: Type in your corporate work email address and create a secure password.

3. Fill Profile: Input your name, phone number, job title, and the types of students you want to recruit.

4. Accept Terms: Read and accept the Handshake Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Verify Email: Check your inbox, open the Handshake verification email, and click Confirm Email.

6. Connect Company: Search the list of existing employers thoroughly to find your company's profile. Do not create a new company account until you verify yours isn't listed. If your company is there, request to join it; if it is completely new to Handshake, click Create New Company.

7. Choose Schools: Select the specific colleges and universities you want to connect with right away to start posting jobs.

Follow these simple steps to publish your job opening and connect with top student talent:

1. Log In: Go to Handshake and sign into your employer account.

2. Start Post: Click Jobs in the left menu, then click the Create Job button.

3. Fill Basics: Enter your job title, job type, and choose where students should apply.

4. Add Details: Paste your job description, location, pay rate, and required documents.

5. Set Preferences: Filter for specific graduation dates, school years, or majors if needed.

6. Choose Schools: Select the specific colleges and universities where you want your job listed.

7. Submit: Review your information and click Post Job to submit it for school approval.

Job Posting Guidelines

Talent Link has replaced the use of Handshake for posting all on-campus, part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students.

1. Log In: Navigate to Handshake and sign into your employer account.

2. Start Request: Click Interviews in the left menu, then click Request Interview Schedule.

3. Fill Basics: Select your target school, name your schedule, and list your interviewing team.

4. Choose Timeline: Pick your interview date, choose your session lengths, and request your required number of rooms.

5. Manage Jobs: Link an active job posting or click Remind Me Later if your job description is not ready yet. (Note: Handshake will email you a reminder 4 days before applications open).

6. Submit: Review your schedule details and click the green Request button to send it to the school for approval.
