Jody Greaney
Dr. Greaney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences. She is an integrative physiologist, with expertise in sympathetic control of cardiovascular function in health and in disease. Dr. Greaney directs the Cardiovascular Psychophysiology Laboratory, whose research focuses on determining the psychophysiological mechanisms linking mental illnesses like depression to accelerated cardiovascular and neurocognitive aging. This line of inquiry represents a pivot intersection between integrative physiology, psychology/psychiatry, and behavioral health, with the overall goal of identifying novel targets for therapeutic intervention strategies to prevent, slow, or reverse depression-associated cardiovascular disease.
