What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?

I love how our college makes a large University like UD feel smaller and makes it all feel like a home away from home. Everyone cares so much about each other and whether it is students or faculty/staff, everyone is willing to help each other out and always supports one another. The college also has so many opportunities available to its students. Between classes, clubs, and other activities, students in the college have many chances to apply their knowledge and get hands-on experience that they may not have gotten anywhere else.

What is your most memorable AG or UD experience?

My favorite experience at UD was studying abroad in New Zealand for a month. It was amazing studying and getting a new perspective on agriculture in a whole new country. Soaking in the sights and culture made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Getting the chance to explore a new place with new friends by my side was unbelievable. Those memories will last a lifetime. My 10,000 pictures from my trip does not do the journey of a lifetime justice.

What are your career goals?

Become a Veterinarian, not sure what type but hoping vet school allows me to figure it out.

What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?

UD CANR is a great place to grow professionally. I did not realize how much career exploration and discovery would happen within CANR. The faculty and staff are all really passionate about their various fields and do a fantastic job teaching, advising, and relating to students within the college. In a good way, it rubs off on us and helps us pursue exciting careers.

What is your most memorable Ag or UD experience?

My most memorable AG experience was going on a poultry tour of Delaware with a CANR staff member. The tour consisted of three stops in Delaware related to the poultry industry. We went to a chicken house, Purdue Farms processing plant, and Lasher Lab in Sussex County, DE. The tour was extremely eye-opening and interesting to see, especially as a Delaware native.

What are your career goals?

My goal is to be a laboratory animal veterinarian.

What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?

I love that the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is so tight-knit! The students of this college show true passion to various fields within agriculture, and are matched with incredible opportunities to advance these interests.

What is your most memorable Ag or UD experience?

My most memorable Ag experience was in my freshman year during the animal and food science lab course. I was able to explore all parts of our vast farmland and work with the many animals on campus. I even got to milk a cow for the first time, which was awesome!

What are your career goals?

My main career goal is to become a food scientist for a large food company in the concentration of research and development (R&D). I completed an internship where I was able to be involved in the full process of product creation, formulation, packaging, and eventual safe delicious delivery to consumers.
