    The University of Delaware’s newest undergraduate programs, sports performance analytics, is now accepting new students. The new major includes extensive coursework in statistical analysis and predictive modeling to give students the foundational skills needed to excel in a performance analytics setting. However, the new program also has an experiential learning requirement with the already well-established internship program with UD Athletics. This unique opportunity gives students a chance to learn the theoretical and practical sides of sports performance analytics.

    Emma Aucker, now a senior environmental and resource economics (ENRE) major at UD, knew she wanted to go into a career related to the environment, shaping policy rather than through fieldwork. Now, after being at UD for three years, the program has allowed her to blend her passion for the environment with policy by using the decision-making tools of economics.
