With 11 University of Delaware graduates spanning three generations, the Vanderwende family has become a staple in Delaware’s agricultural community. The UD legacy begins with Daniel Vanderwende, a UD Class of 1974 graduate. The three generations of Vanderwendes that graduated from UD have had a big impact on Delaware agriculture, from running the family business to working in the state legislature.

University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources alumna Tiffany Carro directs global regulatory sciences in the research and development organization for FMC Corporation. She leads a multi-disciplinary international team responsible for human health science and environmental science disciplines in the development and defense of FMC Corporation's agricultural assets. As a Hispanic, first-generation college student, Carro believes in donating her time to inspire the next generation of scientists.
