4+1 Human Physiology BS/Applied Human Anatomy MS
About the program
The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology offers a unique 4+1 BS/MS program that allows students to complete both the Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology and the Master of Science degree in Applied Human Anatomy in a total of five years of full-time study.
The curriculum is tailored for students seeking a deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology, with applications across educational, healthcare, and research fields.
The 4+1 program will serve as a strong academic bridge for students aspiring to enter medical school or other professional health programs. With a focused curriculum and intensive lab-based training, graduates will have a competitive edge in admissions, demonstrating mastery of foundational anatomical sciences and an ability to succeed in advanced graduate coursework. By completing the 4+1 Human Physiology BS/ Applied Human Anatomy MS program, students demonstrate their commitment to the medical sciences and readiness for the rigors of advanced education or workforce.
The 4+1 Human Physiology BS/Applied Human Anatomy MS program requires students to complete all required undergraduate courses in the Human Physiology BS. Admitted 4+1 students will be allowed to count 6 course credits (KAAP 630 and KAAP 631) taken during their final undergraduate year toward both the BS and MS degree requirements.
Students complete the remaining graduate credits towards the Applied Human Anatomy MS degree over the 5th year (Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters).
