Renovation Projects and Updates
Flagship interior closes / Fred Rust Ice Arena operations begin on May 26, 2026.
Details available below.
Big things are happening on South Campus this year. The Townsend East Lawn and Garden project began construction in February 2026. This green space will provide a connecting pathway to the University of Delaware Botanic Gardens as well as a green space to be utilized by students, faculty, staff and the community alike. The exterior of the Creamery will be getting a facelift to expand our patio area and seating capacity.
The UDairy Creamery will also be gaining its own facelift in an effort to improve the customer experience and improve the flow of our service line. We are looking forward to reworking the interior space as we continue to create a positive environment for those visiting us!
Where to find us while under construction
If you haven't already, we hope you'll take this time to visit our UDairy Creamery Café location on Main Street. Right inside the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, coffee, sandwiches and all your UDairy favorite ice cream flavors are offered with plenty of indoor seating.
UDairy Creamery Café
The UDairy Creamery Café serves favorites like ice cream, waffle cones and cheese. Additionally, the café offers a full coffee drink menu and light fare, including sandwiches made with UDairy Creamery cheese. This new location increases the number of intern opportunities available to UD students.
