Latest issue of UD Magazine celebrates historic Blue Hen presidency, limitless potential of a UD education
A University of Delaware education can lead anywhere, even to the highest office in the land.
To commemorate the historic election of America’s first Blue Hen president, the spring 2021 edition of UD Magazine, now online, features a story package on the world’s most famous Double Dels, Joe and Jill Biden. It also includes a Q&A with the president’s most trusted campaign manager and spotlights the growing roster of faculty and alumni with roles in the new administration.
“This issue aims to be a source of pride for all who love UD and celebrate the limitless potential of a UD education,” said UD Magazine Managing Editor Artika Casini.
The power of the Blue Hen network is a prominent theme throughout the magazine, which includes an exploration of the new — and established — ways in which the UD community is boosting support for Black students and alumni in the sciences.
Additional magazine stories include:
A post-pandemic vision for the future, as told by alumni nurses;
An insider’s view into the U.S. Capitol attacks, as told by veteran Washington Post reporter Paul Kane, Class of 1992;
A chance to meet one of the world’s most successful advertising executives as he opens doors for the next generation of underrepresented UD alumni; and
A conversation with the longtime architectural historian of the U.S. Capitol — and the little-known connection between Delaware and the iconic building in Washington, D.C.
