SMSP Degree Programs

The mission of the School of Marine Science and Policy (SMSP) is to advance knowledge and education critical to the understanding, stewardship, and conservation of estuarine, coastal and ocean environments. Our curriculum is multidisciplinary, and students are encouraged to explore areas outside of their own specialties. SMSP offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The School of Marine Science and Policy offers one undergraduate major, Marine Studies. Investigate the ocean, how it works, what lives within it, and how it affects all of our lives and the planet with this major, which provides a strong overview of all aspects of marine science and offers concentrations in Marine Biology or Oceanography.
