Financial hurdles don’t have to get in the way of attending one of the nation’s top public universities. Save money on your degree with UD’s associate-to-bachelor’s programs.
For Delaware residents, all Flex Pathways programs offer scholarships that cover the tuition of an associate degree. Many Flex Pathway students can even use the SEED Scholarship to cover up to an additional year of tuition toward a bachelor’s degree.

Scholarships for UD’s Flex Pathway
Every Flex Pathway program offers full-tuition scholarships to Delaware residents. The SEED (Student Excellent Equals Degree) Scholarships and the UD Associate Programs Scholarship are available to students with a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 and cover the two years of an associate degree. The SEED Scholarship may also cover a student’s third year if they transition to Newark to complete their bachelor’s degree.
Students who wish to be considered for the SEED Scholarship or the UD Pathways Scholarship must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). No separate scholarship application is required. For questions about financial aid eligibility, contact Student Financial Services.
Not only can a SEED Scholarship cover tuition for the associate-degree programs below, but it can potentially cover up to one year in a bachelor's-degree program at UD's Newark campus as well. The scholarship can be applied to up to 10 semesters.
Students in the following Flex Pathway programs may be eligible for SEED Scholarship:
- Associate in arts (University Studies)
- Associate in science (University Studies)
- Associate in arts in early childhood education
- Associate in arts in elementary and middle school teacher education
- Registered nursing (UD coursework only)
- Registered nursing is an associate-degree only program; students in this program cannot, at this time, complete a bachelor's degree in nursing at UD.
Students enrolled in the associate programs in business administration, health sciences or community and nonprofit leadership may qualify for the UD Associate Programs Scholarship (see below for more details).
The University of Delaware is dedicated to making top-quality education accessible to residents throughout the state. That’s why we offer the UD Associate Programs Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship for an associate degree in our new Flex Pathway programs.
The UD Associate Programs Scholarship covers tuition for eligible Delaware residents who begin as full-time students in the following Flex Pathway programs:
- Business administration

- Community and nonprofit leadership
Students in all other Flex Pathway programs may qualify for the SEED Scholarship (see above for more details).
