Jackie Sunkler

Dr. Sunkler currently is an Assistant Professor for the School of Nursing at the University of Delaware. She worked previously in the same role at Thomas Jefferson University in the accelerated undergraduate nursing program for 5 years. She worked for 9 years at Christiana Care in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (2D) and Transitional Neuro Unit (2B). There, Jackie went from RN II to RN IV to a Professional Development Specialist. Prior to working at Christiana, she worked in trauma at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She received her BSN from the University of Delaware in 2012, MSN in Nursing Education from Wilmington University in 2017, and PhD in Nursing Science from Widener University in 2026. Her most recent publications and presentations have been at the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA), the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), UPenn's Journal of Nursing Doctoral Students Scholarship, and the International Journal of Nursing and Healthcare Sciences.
