With UD's associate and associate-to-bachelor’s-degree pathways, students can kickstart their college journey at locations close to home or online. Now, you have more flexibility than ever before to dream the future you want and go after it.
And with the SEED Scholarship, many Delawareans in a qualifying UD associate-degree program have their tuition fully covered. SEED may also be used when a student transitions to their bachelor’s program in Newark, covering their third year as well!
Flex Pathway Features
What: Start in one of our associate-degree pathways, most allowing you to easily transition to Newark to complete your bachelor’s degree:
Where: Start at one of many UD locations across the state—Wilmington, Dover and Georgetown—and finish at UD's main campus in Newark.
When: Study at your own pace—both full-time and part-time options are available.
How: In-person, online and hybrid learning options are available.
Step 1: Review Academic Requirements

Additional Information on Academic Requirements:
- These requirements only apply to U.S. citizens or permanent residents attending a high school in the U.S. International students should review the international admissions page.
- American Sign Language (ASL) fulfills a foreign language elective
- Courses taken before the ninth grade do not count towards these requirements unless listed as high school courses on transcript
Step 2: Applying
✓ Complete the UD Online Application.
- Check the timeline below for the application deadline.
✓ Complete the required application essay.
✓ Submit transcripts.*
✓ Submit standardized test scores or note on your application you would like to participate in the Test Optional Program.
- Those who wish to supply scores can self-report their SAT or ACT scores. If you would like to submit official scores, use the SAT code 5811 or the ACT code 0634.
