Volunteer Shout-Outs - May 2026

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of UD.

Here, we regularly spotlight volunteers that enhance the UD experience for students and alumni.

May 2026 Spotlight: Class of 2001 – 25th Reunion Ambassadors

Class of 2001 Reunion Ambassadors

We’re thrilled to spotlight the Reunion Ambassadors for the Class of 2001 as they gear up to celebrate their 25th Reunion during Alumni Weekend, May 29th –31st!

This hen-tastic committee of nine Blue Hens is helping bring the milestone celebration to life: Jennifer Cellucci (AS01), Kala Craig (BE01), Liai Erion (BE01), Andrea Fraboni (AS01), Julie Lachman (AS01), Shannon Merkel (AS01), Kimberly Murphy (EHD01), Jennifer Smith (AS01), and Doug Waddington (BE01). Their enthusiasm and dedication are making this reunion one to remember!

Fun Fact: Julie, Shannon, Jennifer, and Doug also served as ambassadors for the Class of 2001’s 20th reunion in 2021, which took place virtually (check out the kudoboard from the 20th reunion). Five years later, we can’t wait to welcome them back to campus to celebrate this special milestone!

Alumni Weekend 2026 will also celebrate milestone reunions for the Classes of 2006 (20th), 2016 (10th) and 2021 (5th). From reconnecting with classmates to making new memories, it’s shaping up to be a weekend full of Blue Hen pride, celebration, and connection across generations.
