Volunteer Shout-Outs - February 2024

Volunteer Shout-Outs - June 2024

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of UD.

Here, we regularly spotlight volunteers that enhance the UD experience for students and alumni.

"It's always fun to meet newer alumni at events and get updates on what's changing at UD."

Amanda Jett LeBlanc, EG11, has participated as a Blue Hen Regional Ambassador for the Boston Blue Hen Network for the past decade! She is a rockstar volunteer who has planned, attended and encouraged others to attend countless events in Boston.

Through the years, LeBlanc has also participated in the UD Career Acceleration Network (UDCAN) and the Volunteer Admissions Support Team (VAST). While in high school prior to attending UD, she participated in the Governor's School of Excellence Program.

LeBlanc is an enthusiastic Blue Hen whose loyalty to UD goes beyond sharing her time and talents as she is a long-time True Blue Hen.

Fun UD Fact: “I'm one half of a Double Del couple that met in the Engineering program at UD!”

Let’s hear from her as to why she gives back to UD: “I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at UD and love exchanging stories with other Blue Hens about their experiences on campus! It's always fun to meet newer alumni at events and get updates on what's changing at UD.”

"We have a sweet summer lineup planned!"

A dedicated and enthusiastic group of Regional Blue Hen Ambassadors including Greg Beaudoin, EG83, Rich Bourque, EOE75, Susan McMullen, AS72, and Howard Trout, BE71, have a sweet summer lineup planned during the network’s Summer Ice Cream Tour!

This year will mark the fourth annual version of this series where the group will visit 18 different ice cream locations around their six-county coverage area. These family-friendly meetups are a wonderful way for Blue Hens to mix and mingle in a casual atmosphere.
