Volunteer Shout-Outs - June 2026
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of UD.

University of Delaware Alumni Association
A BIG BLUE HEN THANK YOU to the University of Delaware Alumni Association (UDAA) for bringing the new Blue Hens Forever Statue to life. Standing 7½ feet tall, stretching more than 10 feet from beak to tail, and weighing over 3,000 pounds, this larger-than-life Blue Hen is already becoming a campus landmark.
Led by a board of alumni volunteers, the UDAA works to engage and connect Blue Hens throughout their lives through events and programs, celebrations of achievement, benefits and services and more. This remarkable gift to the University reflects the UDAA's commitment to strengthening the Blue Hen community and creating traditions that will inspire generations of students, alumni and visitors.
Thank you for your vision, leadership and service. Blue Hens Forever!
