LGBTQ+ Health

Student Wellbeing is committed to providing students of all gender identities and sexual orientations a safe space to access high-quality and equitable healthcare.

We understand that LGBTQ+ students have similar physical and mental healthcare needs as any other student, as well as unique needs related to their identity. Our clinicians receive specialized training to provide sensitive and supportive care that meets their needs and prioritizes confidentiality. Our welcoming spaces, discreet check-in processes and waiting areas protect privacy, improve safety and enhance efficiency.

Update Your UD Health Portal Profile

Students can update their profile in the UD Health Portal, to ensure the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) displays their chosen name, pronouns and gender identity. Your UD Health Portal is only accessible via your UD username and password. Make sure you keep this password private to ensure your confidentiality. Your name, pronouns and gender identity will also appear in your Electronic Medical Record, which is only accessible by UD Student Wellbeing professional staff. This information is protected by patient privacy laws and is not shared across any other areas of the University.
