Alex Huey, ANR17, BE20M

Please join us in welcoming Alex Huey to the University of Delaware Alumni Association (UDAA) Board of Directors! Alex joined the Board in July 2026 and serves on the Awards Committee, continuing a growing legacy of volunteer service to the University of Delaware.

Before joining the Board, Alex was already finding impactful ways to give back to the Blue Hen community. In 2025, he participated in UD's inaugural Admitted Student Postcard Campaign, helping welcome newly admitted students to UD.

He has also spoken in UD marketing classes, judged the Lerner College Case Competition, and served as a Summer Job Shadow Host in 2023 and 2024, providing current students with valuable career insights and real-world perspectives as they explored potential career paths.

Alex also helped launch the Lerner Ambassador Program, supporting efforts to recruit the next generation of business students, and was awarded the Lerner Rising Star Alumni Award of Excellence in 2023.

As a former member of the UD Marching Band and Pep Band, Alex has returned to campus each year since graduation to participate in the Alumni Band at Homecoming.

Whether he's helping prospective students feel connected to UD, mentoring current Blue Hens, or contributing his talents as a member of the UDAA Board, Alex exemplifies the spirit of alumni engagement. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to the impact he'll make in the years ahead. Blue Hens Forever!

Favorite UD Memory:“During my freshman year, a friend convinced me to audition for the basketball Pep Band. The men's basketball team made the NCAA Tournament that year, and I got to travel with the team to Spokane, Washington. It was an unforgettable experience, and the trip even led to an unexpected connection: I met a fellow student who was a Social Media Ambassador, which inspired me to join the program. That experience ultimately sparked my interest in marketing and helped lay the foundation for the career I have today.”

Why I Give Back:“My time as a student helped me discover my passions, and the opportunities available to me at UD allowed me to build a strong foundation for my career. Staying involved has allowed me to help create those same opportunities for the next generation of Blue Hens, pay it forward, and stay connected to a university that has given me so much.”
