Veterans Day 2023

This Veterans Day, as we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, we also extend thanks to donors who have supported critical veteran resources and programs at the University of Delaware.

Thomas: A Blue Hen Story:

We hope you enjoy this message from Thomas Gallucci, a Blue Hen veteran and senior nursing student, highlighting the experiences of our incredible veteran community and the impact of donor support.

In observance of Veterans Day and in partnership with the Division of Student Life and the Blue Hen Veterans, the Biden Institute hosted the 2023 Veteran’s Day ceremony to honor those who have served and in particular pay respect to the over 7,000 servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice since 9/11. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Biden Institute.

Celebrating Veterans Day

In advance of Veterans Day student veterans planted 7,078 American flags on The Green, one for every military service member killed since Sept. 11, 2001.
