Faculty Senate meeting

Senate discusses financial sustainability initiative

The University of Delaware Faculty Senate met on Monday, Oct. 5, in Purnell Hall.

Senate President Meghan McInnis-Dominguez spoke about sustainability initiatives and the Center for Innovation in Lifelong Learning and Teaching. Senators discussed continuing track faculty, a possible University ombudsperson, the humanities, and diversity and inclusion.

President Laura Carlson spoke about the recent Pulse Survey results and UD’s strategic planning process. Interim Provost Bill Farquhar provided updates on admissions and enrollment. Ellen Herbst, executive vice president for finance and administration, spoke about an initiative to improve the University’s financial sustainability.
