Call for session proposals: Summer Institute on Teaching (SIT) 2026
March 09, 2026
Submit your proposal for a full session, lightning talk or resource table by April 6
The Summer Institute on Teaching (SIT) is back in 2026, marking 30 years of faculty teaching institutes at UD. This annual event is an opportunity to hear from your colleagues about their teaching successes, learn new ways to engage your students and discover innovative tools and approaches to support your pedagogy. Please mark your calendars to attend on Wednesday, May 27 (on Zoom) and Thursday, May 28 (in person).
Do you have a teaching topic you’d like to explore with your colleagues? Are you excited to present a story of your teaching success? Or is there a pedagogical controversy that you’d like to engage in collegial debate about with a panel of colleagues? Our call for SIT 2026 Session Proposals is open now through April 6.
We encourage educators at UD to submit proposals for sessions that will inform others about your exciting, interesting and effective educational practices. This year, we have included exciting new proposal options including lightning talks and resource tables, as well as streamlined the types of full session proposals we are soliciting. Proposed sessions should actively demonstrate and practice effective educational practices. Collaborations between multiple facilitators are strongly encouraged. We welcome proposals on all teaching and learning topics and encourage submitters to carefully consider the modality (Zoom or in-person) that will best support their session goals.
Registration for SIT will open in early May. For more information visit: http://www.udel.edu/0014500
