The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced the closure of the bridge on Rt.72 (Library Avenue) in Newark, over the Amtrak railroad lines (north of Farm Lane) starting Thursday, June 11, for repairs to the bridge. The closure will be in effect for about eight weeks. Expect delays and detours on Rt. 72 during this time.
