The City of Newark plans to complete pavement patching and preventative maintenance on Academy Street between Courtney Street and East Park Place beginning Tuesday, July 28, weather permitting. The work is expected to continue for up to one week, depending on weather conditions and any construction-related delays. This work will require a temporary closure of this section of Academy Street.

Impacts to the University community

• Bus service along Academy Street will be affected during the closure.
• Access to Parking Lots 29 and 31 will be limited.
• Permit holders for Lots 29 and 31 are encouraged to use Lot 33 near Robinson Hall and Morris Library as alternative parking during the closure.
