Cockpit Cup Contest returns

Dining Services celebrates student creativity and sustainability in campus sports

University of Delaware Dining Services is inviting students to showcase their creativity through the Second Annual Cockpit Cup Contest, a competition to design the next stadium cup. The winning design will be featured during the fall 2026 football season and at additional home athletic events, giving sports fans a sustainable way to celebrate game day while highlighting student talent.

The Cockpit Cup Challenge builds on the success of last year’s contest, which featured a design by Vanessa Rack during the fall 2025 season. Rack’s dynamic artwork highlighted Delaware Stadium (Tubby Raymond Field) through the years, capturing both the venue’s history and its evolution. Her design became a fan favorite and demonstrated how student creativity can bring campus traditions to life.

Dining Services invites students to submit an original design for this year’s contest for a chance to leave a lasting mark on the University. The winning designer will have their artwork featured on the official stadium cup and be recognized on the field during a home football game. In addition, the winner will receive 300 dining points for the fall 2026 semester.

The contest is open now and closes April 17. Students are encouraged to bring their Blue Hen pride, creativity and vision to the challenge. Learn more about the Cockpit Cup Contest and how to submit your design, and help design what fans will be cheering with next season.
