The University of Delaware Faculty Senate met on Monday, May 4, in Purnell Hall.

Tracey Holden, associate professor in the Department of Communication, was chosen as president-elect for 2026-27. Nancy Getchell, former Faculty Senate president and senator, was presented with the 2026 Jon Olson Exemplary Senate Service Award. Interim Provost Bill Farquhar provided updates on undergraduate enrollment, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education accreditation process, potential revisions to UD’s general education curriculum and the Center for Innovation in Lifelong Learning and Teaching.
