UD Capture: What’s New This Fall

Zoom-enabled recording system available in select classrooms

UD Capture +Zoom is installed in select classrooms, including new additions in Ewing Hall. These classrooms support a traditional teaching environment and, if needed, hybrid participation (combining in-class and remote students). Features include:

  • Automatic recording of your class sessions
  • Wireless projection of your laptop for in-room display and optional remote display
  • Improved recording layout options, including active speaker with gallery view
  • Real-time machine closed captioning via Zoom
  • Built-in room camera (optional, can be disabled), microphone, and speakers

In addition to classrooms enabled with UD Capture +Zoom, many classrooms are still equipped with UD Capture Classic. The system you’ll use depends on the classroom in which you are teaching, so it’s important to follow the appropriate directions:

Sign up for UD Capture for the fall semester using our request form (link included below), which needs signatures from all instructors of record. To ensure recording on the first day of class, please submit your request by Thursday, August 22nd.
