Monthly free webinars focus on retooling for post-pandemic career growth

The University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (UD PCS) is again offering its Power Up Your Career seminar series free of charge this fall. The professional development mini-program is open to anyone looking for practical and immediately applicable career tips and resources.

Monthly seminars focus on topics for those who may be transitioning in their careers, seeking to enhance their careers, contemplating entrepreneurship, or considering the implications of returning to their on-site workplaces.

“With the economy and our workplaces continually adapting to pandemic realities, I think most of us realize it’s actually a ‘new normal’ that’s still evolving,” said UD’s Lynn Fishlock, series coordinator and UD PCS customized learning manager. “ ’New normal’ will mean different things to different people depending on their careers and circumstances, so we want to help people adjust accordingly. As such, we’ve worked with our professional career coaches to come up with seminar topics that address the challenges people continue to face as they adapt to their individual circumstances and opportunities.”

This fall’s Power Up Your Career seminars include:
• Developing a Positive Mindset for Returning to the Office (Sept. 15)
• Networking Communication Skills to Enhance Your Career (Oct. 20)
• Preparing Yourself with the Most Valued Skill Sets in the Marketplace (Nov. 17)
• Taking the Leap: Is Entrepreneurship for You? (Dec. 15)

The Power Up Your Career online seminars meet via Zoom videoconferencing on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Registration is free, but RSVPs are required.
