Colleagues and friends to remember art history professor, mentor, scholar at June 10 service

The Department of Art History will hold a memorial service for E. Wayne Craven, H.F. du Pont Professor Emeritus of Art History and a founder of the department at UD, who died on May 7.

The service will be held via Zoom from 5-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, and will feature the voices of those who knew Dr. Craven best and were most influenced by him, spanning his career and his legacy at the University. Colleagues, friends and fellow Blue Hens will reflect on his time as a professor, mentor and scholar.

To share a note or video with a story about Dr. Craven, or to ask to say a few words during the service, email department chair Sandy Isenstadt at isnt@udel.edu.

For those who would like to honor Dr. Craven with a gift to the fund in his name and that of his colleague, the William I. Homer and Wayne Craven Fund for Graduate Studies, information is available in the In Memoriam article posted earlier on UDaily.
