Since 2012, the University of Delaware's Women’s Caucus has presented the Torch Award annually to a woman who has “carried the torch for women’s equality” at UD. The award recognizes and honors an individual on campus who has actively worked to improve the quality of employment of women at UD. Past recipients include: Anne Boylan, Mae Carter, Pam Cook, Barbara Settles, Nancy Targett, Karren Helsel-Spry, Robin Andreasen, and Marian Palley.

The caucus seeks nominations for the 2020 Torch Awards. Nominees must be a current or former UD employee, faculty or staff. Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6.

The award will be presented during the Women’s Caucus Fireside Chat on Monday, March 23,  from 4-6 p.m. at The Atrium on STAR Campus.
