Exam study shuttle service, complimentary parking near Morris Library
The University of Delaware's Transportation and Parking Services Department are teaming up to offer transportation and parking options near the Morris Library to students who are preparing for final exams.
The last day of classes for the fall will be Thursday, Dec. 5, with Reading Day on Friday, Dec. 6. Final exams will begin Monday, Dec. 9, and conclude on Saturday, Dec. 14.
In addition to the University’s normal shuttle schedule, a Final Exam Study return shuttle will be available every 30 minutes from 2 a.m. through 6:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 6, and Monday, Dec. 9, through Saturday, Dec. 14. This shuttle will depart Lot 34, just south of the Morris Library and within view of the east entrance.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, all day routes will operate according to a regular schedule. Evening routes will operate until 10:10 p.m., with one bus doing a return loop from Smith Overpass at 10:10 p.m., but the Late Bird Route will not operate. Parking Services has announced that from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly during the last week of classes and final exam week there will be no charge for parking at the Visitors Center Lot 41 on South College Avenue. The complimentary parking is being implemented to support students who are studying at the Morris Library.
Normal hourly rates apply between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. Motorists should pay at the kiosk if parking during these hours.
Beginning Sunday, Dec. 1, motorists parking at the Visitors Center lot from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each weeknight through exams will not be charged for parking.
On Sunday, Dec. 1, and Friday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. through the following Monday, Dec. 9 at 5 AM, and on Dec. 14 there will be all-day, no-charge parking for students studying at the library.
Normal operations will resume Sunday, Dec. 15.
