UD faculty invited to propose Winter Session 2020 programs by Dec. 1

University of Delaware faculty are invited to propose new and continuing study abroad programs for Winter Session 2020 by Saturday, Dec. 1.

In addition to a session-long program, faculty may choose to develop a micro-mester program. These programs are three weeks in length, travel to a single country no more than 10 hours away by direct flight and are led by one faculty director.

Before developing a proposal, faculty are encouraged to consult the IGS Course Development Tool (https://sites.udel.edu/igs-syllabus/) and ensure their plan aligns with departmental goals for internationalizing the curriculum.

About UD Study Abroad

Ninety-five years after founding the nation’s first study abroad program, UD continues to be an innovator in International Education. In addition to semester-long programs, the Institute for Global Studies offers faculty-led Summer and Winter session programs.

More than 1,000 University of Delaware students venture abroad each Winter for a month of learning and exploration. Guided by UD faculty members from all seven colleges, participants immerse themselves in their host culture and adopt the world as their classroom, completing one or two academic courses uniquely tailored to their location.
