Volunteer Shout-Outs - December 2025
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of UD.
Here, we regularly spotlight volunteers that enhance the UD experience for students and alumni.
December 2025 Spotlight: Tammy Good, AS00
Tammy Good, AS00
"I’m always thinking how can I help someone get there faster than I did professionally."
Tammy has a long history of giving back to UD through a wide range of volunteer roles. Since 2020, she has served on the University of Delaware Alumni Association (UDAA) Board of Directors, contributing her time and talent to the Awards and Nominating Committees. Beyond her board service, Tammy has supported the Blue Hen community as a New Castle County Regional Blue Hen Ambassador, a 20th Reunion Ambassador, and a mentor with the Lerner Executive Mentoring Program (LEMP). She has also returned to campus to speak in communication classes and has shared her expertise with students participating in Horn’s Summer Founders program.
In September 2025, Tammy joined the UDAA Portugal alumni trip and captured the experience in a recap story featured on the UDAA Alumni Travel page.
A dedicated alumna and proud Blue Hen, Tammy is also a member of the True-Blue Hen Giving Society.
Let’s hear from Tammy:
Fun Fact: “When I moved to LA after college, I ended up on my first movie set within three weeks due to a UD connection.”
Why I Give Back: “Probably like many volunteers, at the foundational level, I give back because I have such fond memories of my college experience. As the years have gone by, the mentoring and interaction with students at speaking events has been very rewarding. I’m always thinking how can I help someone get there faster than I did professionally. What “T’s Tip” can I give that student that might serve them well in the moment or later in life.”
