UDPride Alumni Network: 2024-2025 News and Updates

The UDPride Alumni Network actively participates and invests in programs that connect with and benefit the larger UD and LGBTQIA+ community.

In the second year since its conception in 2023, the network held a Drag Show during Alumni Weekend 2024 and welcomed new members, including Michael Rulon, AS01.

Rulon joined after discovering a UDPride Alumni Network promotion on Facebook during Pride Month in June. Since then, Rulon has been a valuable addition to the network as a board member. Notably, he partially funded the campus National Coming Out Day event on October 11, 2024, hosted by the UD Registered Student Organization (RSO) Lavender Programming Board.

Why he gives back to UD:

“I was able to attend UD only because I received generous support from others. I see so many of my current students here at Northern Arizona University struggling to balance their classes, their work and their family obligations and I want to do whatever I can to make sure that students at UD have the support they need to not only complete their degrees, but truly benefit from everything UD has to offer.”
