Make October your month of wellbeing

Connect, learn and get moving this October with two opportunities to support your wellbeing

This October, faculty and staff have two exciting opportunities to invest in their health and wellbeing: Walktober and the Employee Health and Wellbeing Fair.

As the temperatures cool and fall colors emerge, Walktober encourages participants to make walking and physical activity a priority. This year's program features a virtual tour through some of autumn's most vibrant landscapes while helping participants build healthy habits that can last well beyond October. Registration opened Sept. 14 and closes Oct. 7. Faculty and staff can learn more and register at udhr.walktober.com/welcome.

To help kick off your wellbeing journey, join colleagues at the Employee Health and Wellbeing Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Trabant University Center. Participants can explore resources across the eight dimensions of wellbeing, connect with campus and community partners, and discover benefits designed to support health, development and overall quality of life.

The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with biometric screenings and flu shots available until 4 p.m. Participants can register for the fair and schedule optional screenings and vaccinations through the personalized checklist at helpmechoosewisely.com/ud-wellbeing-fair-checklist.

Whether you're taking your first steps with Walktober or exploring new wellbeing resources at the fair, October is the perfect time to focus on your health, connect with colleagues and take meaningful steps toward a healthier you.
