2026 Undergraduate Summer Scholars and Fellows application open

Undergraduate students across disciplines are encouraged to apply for summer scholarship program

The Undergraduate Community Engagement Summer Scholars and Fellows program provides highly motivated undergraduate students the opportunity to immerse themselves in community-based projects.

Scholars receive a stipend of $4,000 to spend 10 weeks in full-time pursuit of research or a creative project. Fellows work on similar projects, but part time, and receive a pro-rated stipend up to $3,000.

"Community Engagement Summer Scholars is an immersive experience for students to combine academic study with passion areas and service," said Leann Moore, associate director of the Community Engagement Initiative. "Past scholars have had an immeasurable impact on the community, and we look forward to continuing that tradition."

Undergraduate students across disciplines are encouraged to apply for the Undergraduate Community Engagement Summer Scholars and Fellows Program before April 5, 2026. Decisions will be announced by the end of April.
