Registration Now Open for Elevate Online Learning - Track A
August 21, 2026
Training program for instructors starts Sept. 14, 2026
Elevate Online Learning is a stackable professional development program for UD faculty, instructors, staff, and graduate students who teach with Canvas. Developed by the new UD Center for Innovation in Lifelong Learning and Teaching, Elevate combines sound online teaching practices with UD digital tools to help instructors create engaging and well-organized courses that support student success. Whether you teach fully online, hybrid, or in person, Track A will strengthen your confidence in using digital tools to teach and design courses.
Track A: Elevate with UD Digital Skills
Track A is a voluntary, self-paced course designed to help participants become familiar with UD-supported digital tools and gain foundational knowledge in building effective Canvas course sites. This course offers a flexible, practical learning experience that allows instructors to explore tools, apply strategies in real contexts, and build confidence in course site design and setup.
In this track, you'll learn how to:
- Customize course setup and navigation items
- Create, organize and share content with students
- Use assignments and the Gradebook
- Use Canvas integrated media tools (UD Capture, Zoom) to enhance teaching and learning
Participants will be given a staging course, where you can build a version of your Canvas site. Any work completed in the Track A staging site can be copied into an actual course shell for use with students. Participants are encouraged to use subject matter content that they plan to teach as the basis for their work in Track A.
Participants have a three-month window to complete the course and earn a digital badge.
Registration for the Fall 2026 cohort closes September 4, 2026. Please use Track A: Elevate with UD Digital Skills Sign Up Form to register.
