2027-2028 Tuition Exchange Program applications now open

Faculty and staff may apply through Oct. 28

Applications for the Tuition Exchange Program (TEP) scholarships for the 2027-2028 academic year opened Aug. 20, 2026. Those interested in applying should do so through the Educational Benefits web form by Oct. 28, 2026.

TEP is a reciprocal scholarship program available to dependents of eligible faculty and staff at more than 710 participating colleges and universities, including the University of Delaware. Scholarships are awarded through an extensive review process that considers academic achievement and other factors.

If awarded, a scholarship provides a full or partial tuition waiver for a full-time, matriculated undergraduate dependent and may be renewed for up to four years. Applying and subsequently being admitted to a participating institution does not guarantee a scholarship.

Eligibility

Employees must work full time and have at least two years of eligible University service by Oct. 31 of the application year.

Eligible retirees may also participate. TEP may be used alongside UD’s Tuition Remission benefit and counts toward the maximum two requests.

How to apply

  1. Log into web forms
  2. Select "BEN Education Benefits"
  3. In the menu choice, choose "Tuition Exchange Program"
  4. At least one Tuition Exchange school must be entered on the web form

Lottery drawing

Applicants who submit a TEP web form by Oct. 28, 2026, will be entered into a scholarship lottery drawing on Oct. 30, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. in HR's Training Room 211 at the STAR Campus. Attendance is optional.
