Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month 2025
September 22, 2025
UD community celebrates with events and educational resources
Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 and is an opportunity to celebrate the lives, culture and contributions of the 62.1 million Latinx/Hispanic people in the United States. The month recognizes the countless contributions of Latinx/Hispanic leaders and historic moments. The dates coincide with the independence days of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, as well as Mexico's Independence Day on Sept. 16 and Chile's on Sept. 18.
Throughout the next several weeks, the University of Delaware is hosting events and special activities to honor the U.S.’s Hispanic and Latinx heritage.
