Trabant Food Court: Chick-fil-a, The Halal Shack, and Local Restaurants

Exciting updates coming to Trabant Food Court

Staggered opening begins Sept. 22

The University of Delaware Dining Services is excited to share updates on the highly anticipated Trabant Food Court renovation. The food court will begin a staggered opening starting Sept. 22, bringing new and expanded dining options to campus.

The phased rollout will allow students to enjoy new local favorites while final touches are completed:

Sept. 22 – Opening of local restaurant concepts:

  • Snap Pizza
  • Claymont Steaks
  • IFC Sushi

Sept. 29 – Halal Shack joins the lineup

Oct. 6 – Chick-fil-A opens its doors

To celebrate, Dining Services will host two weeks of Chick-Fil-A giveaways, offering daily free chicken sandwiches to students starting on Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. (until supplies last).

“We know students have been eagerly awaiting the new space, and while we’ve hit a few delays, we’re thrilled to begin welcoming everyone back with a staggered launch,” said Eric Bringman, resident district manager with UD Dining Services. “Each concept brings something unique to the table, and we’re confident the final result will be worth the wait.”

To support students during the transition, temporary dining option the Fry Box 2.0 outside on Trabant Patio will be available for service until Oct. 3.
