Three John and Patricia Cochran Scholar awardees will discuss their research
Join us for a series of lectures and receptions this fall to highlight and celebrate the scholarship of three John and Patricia Cochran Scholar awardees. The Cochrans established these awards to help recruit, develop, retain and promote faculty members whose scholarship and service reflect excellence, creativity and a commitment to inclusiveness, and to support their successful academic career advancement.
Thursday, Oct. 16 | “Our Warfare Lies in the Field of Thought”: Early Black Print and the Future of Democracy in America

Thursday, Oct. 30 | "Unpacking the Eggs: What We Believe, Know, and Pay for Different Kinds of Eggs"
Kofi Britwum, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Economics and Statistics
Thursday, Nov. 20 | "What if We Leave It Up to Chance? The Viability of College Admissions Lotteries"
Dominique Baker, Ph.D., Associate Professor, School of Education
Each session will take place in Trabant University Center Theater from 2:30-4 p.m. Light receptions will follow the lectures.
