Town halls planned for Becoming OneUD initiative

Meetings open to all members of UD community

Editor's note: This article was updated on Sept. 18 to reflect a schedule change for two town halls.

A series of town hall meetings are planned for September to gather input from all members of the University of Delaware community in support of the Becoming OneUD initiative.

Becoming OneUD is an opportunity to reflect, regroup and reaffirm collectively who we are, how we work and what we do, as Interim President Laura Carlson explained in her recent message to the campus community. At each town hall, she will engage with faculty, staff and students on these three themes. While some meetings are focused on a particular group, all meetings are open to all members of the UD community.

The schedule for the town halls is:

  • Friday, Sept. 12 — 9-10 a.m., Carvel Center, Georgetown
  • Friday, Sept 12 — 2-3 p.m., Cannon Lab, Lewes
  • Tuesday, Sept. 16 — 11 a.m. to noon, Mitchell Hall; focused on faculty
  • Tuesday, Sept. 16 — 2-3 p.m., Mitchell Hall; focused on staff
  • Thursday, Sept. 25 — 5:30-6:30 p.m., Pearson Hall auditorium; focused on students
  • Friday, Sept. 26 — 2:30-3:30 p.m., Mitchell Hall

The next Zoom-In on Sept. 25 is an additional opportunity to discuss the Becoming OneUD themes. Also, UD community members may also provide written comments using this form, which requires UD login credentials.
